Enlyte is a San Diego-based company with around 5,000 employees that specializes in developing software solutions for clients in the insurance industry. Founded in 2021, Enlyte was born out of a merger of three companies: Mitchell, Genex, and Coventry, later acquiring workers’ compensation specialists Apricus post-merger. Of these subsidiaries, Michell – a longstanding market leader in insurance claims management solutions – is the largest.
The company continues to operate these four entities as separate business lines under the Enlyte umbrella. In keeping with this structure, the company operates a suite of five websites, consisting of a main parent site and four child sites for each of the company’s subsidiaries. The five sites are broadly similar, sharing common branding and design elements as well as similar menus and other features.
Enlyte came to us with a finished product with a lot of problems. These included a lot of bugs, slow turnaround on fixes from their previous agency, and random problems that continued to pop up on their site.
Additionally, the company, having expanded more rapidly than their processes could keep up with, was struggling to manage content governance and management for the five websites they were attempting to manage, and needed help creating processes.
The primary focus of our fixes to the company’s multi-site system was to help them implement Acquia Site Studio – a tool they had already selected but had not yet fully leveraged. A relatively new offering from Acquia, Site Studio is a low-code digital experience platform (DXP) that enables anyone in an organization to build Drupal web pages using simple drag and drop tools.
While this tool doesn’t eliminate the need for developer intervention in Drupal sites when it comes to setup and implementation, building reusable components, and back end maintenance, Site Studio allows less technical personnel without extensive coding knowledge, including designers, marketers, and content editors, to create rich, immersive content. This empowers organizations to launch new content faster while offering a high degree of creative freedom, brand consistency, and governance.
In addition to fixing bugs and helping the company take full advantage of Site Studio, we also advised Enlyte on content governance and management of their five sites with a focus on multi-site content and publishing workflow, something with which they were struggling.
This allowed the company to hit the ground running once we had completed our repair and integration work. They now manage the day-to-day operations of the websites, with us providing them with maintenance and support with growth on an ongoing basis.
